Laura Curry is an interdisciplinary artist, educator, and consultant whose research based practice extends into the areas of urban planning and design. Inspired by environmental, economic, political and gender structures, Curry creates work in collaboration with the communities her work resides. Engagement and interaction form deeply personal, dynamic, and thoughtprovoking experiences and concepts.

Laura has conducted projects in North and South America, Europe and the Carribbean, and has been presented at preeminant exhibits including DOCUMENTA 13/ Kassel Germany; ISEA/ Albuquerque NM; Time Mutations Bauhaus-Universität/Weimar Germany and Buffalo NY; NoAutomático/ Monterrey México; Open Engagement at Queens Museum/ Queens NY.

In 2022/23 Laura is in residence with CIESAS Noreste, Monterrey Mexico, and is currently at work on Poesía para el bien común / Poetry of the Commons, a community generated digital interface, for Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Monterrey Mexico.
